COVID-19 COMMITMENT STATEMENT

As a tournament, we are fully committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for everyone that attends the event including volunteers, players, personnel, families, referees and the wider community and are committed to implementing practices in line with guidance available from Sport Australia, Football Federation Australia, Football Victoria, our local council, the Victorian State Government and other relevant authorities applicable to our tournament.

We also acknowledge the directions imposed by the Victorian State Government will be followed as we undertake football and futsal activities during the remainder of 2020 and into 2021, and we commit to adhering to the latest advice from Football Victoria and the Victorian State Government in this regard.

COVID SAFE PLAN

In summary please see below some important points that everyone that attends the event must adhere to.  We thank you in advance for cooperating with our COVID Marshals and our staff members at the VIC Futsal Cup.

STAY HOME IF UNWELL

Each attendee is asked to do a symptom self-assessment prior to leaving home and not attend if they are unwell or have been instructed to isolate or quarantine.

LIMIT ATTENDANCE

Due to the current COVID restrictions, the capacity of the venue is very limited.  Supporters will NOT be permitted to enter the venue.

Each player will be able to be accompanied by  ONE supervising adult (parent or guardian)

WEAR A MASK

Everyone 12 years old and older will be required to wear a fitted mask at all times except when they are playing or warming up for their game

ENSURE PHYSICAL DISTANCING 

  • COVID Marshals will be at the venue to assist
  • Fixtures are staggered to minimise the time teams spend at the venue
  • Grandstand and sitting areas will be closed for all parents/guardians
  • Technical areas will be in place to ensure all players and coaches are separated from parents/guardians

PRACTISE GOOD HYGIENE

There will be sanitising stations and wipes on hand, also the toilets will be stocked with soap.  Also, all benches and futsal balls will be wiped after each game

KEEP RECORDS AND ACT QUICKLY IF ANYONE BECOMES UNWELL

We will keep records of all attendees in the following way:

  • All participants will be registered and details kept for 28 days after the event
  • Everyone that enters the venue will be required to check in via the QR code 

If a worker, participant or volunteer who is a confirmed case of COVID-19 attends our  venue/facility while they are infectious, our response plan is:

  • They will be asked to head to the COVID testing centre located onsite
  • There is a room that can be used to isolate them if required
